Deer Hunt

Jason showing off this dad's kill, he did all the guttin'

These aren't in order at all, but that's OK with me! I went deer hunting with my husband this year! I don't so much like the idea of killing something, but it's my ticket in, so did what had to be done to enjoy a little camping with my husband. We got shunned to a tent, but it turned out to be pretty comfortable. The first day we went out hiking, and the way up I thought was semi-miserable. I had to go slow and catch my breath, but It did feel great to get to the top. Jason complained I talked to much, but out in that beautiful nature with the sun rising made me think a lot about life and how important some things really aren't! Poor Jason, well poor me, there was no trail and it was steep, we went up a mountain!! Well that seemed like a tiptoe through the tulips compared to hiking back down!! The darn truck was still a white dot when we were a third way down! by then my siotic nerve was pinched, my feet were burning like walking on hot sand, and my legs were shaking. We sat for a minute and then continued. It was a rough hike, Jason and I saw one buck just in time to see it jump up and run away, right in front of us.
The next day we just drove, but still nothing, and I had to go home for the week. Jason's dad ended up shooting a 4 point a couple days later, and had to borrow mules to pull it out. Then that next weekend Jason shot one, and Skyler shot one the following morning right as the sun raised. both nice 3 points. I didn't get one but no big deal, like I said i just wanted to camp!
I must explain "the bowl." This was our destination when we started hiking. After each steep hill I'd ask is this the last hill? Jason kept telling me the bowl was just over the next hill. Twenty hills later, mind you these weren't little hills, one was a hairy cliff with slate rocks that like to slid. We did get to the bowl about my breaking point, and we walked all over that thing! That's where we walked upon the buck too. Which was a real bummer, we sat to eat an apple and scope out the location, but didn't really scope. When we left we walked right up on it we barely saw his butt and horns sticking up above it before it was gone. They are really fast!

Preschool

Jeremy with his Teacher Mrs. Jerman
Field Trip at Hee Haws, next to his buddy Timber, the rest are all girls!! good class :)

I should have been on this post awhile ago. Jeremy started preschool at Busy Bees with Mrs. Jerman. He absolutely loves going to school (for now) He gets to go on fun field trips and make all kinds of wonderful things. He really enjoys discovering his world! So help me out, between school, nursery at chruch and library story time, what do I do with all amazing little crafts and drawings?? I want to keep them all forever! Is this a pack rat deal or totally normal??

Halloween Y'all

We had an amazingly fun and busy week all Halloween long! Jeremy got to dress for his story time at the library, for preschool, and we went to the Haunted Hallways at AF high school. Then Saturday was so great. It was wonderful visiting family and getting stuff done early so we could trick or treat all night! Jason dressed up as Stinky Pete the prospector, I was Bo Peep, and Jeremy was Buzz Lightyear! Our friends came down and they were Woody and Jesse. It was a lot of fun! There is way too much candy in our cupboard!! I wish I had a good group picture, I'll have to bum one off my mother. I hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as we did!

I've been fortunate enough lately to have a lot of visits from my nieces and nephews, so I've been snapping pictures, when I can. They are so cute and I love them all!! I enjoy seeing pictures of myself with my cousins and siblings when I was a kid. These are great memories! So here, enjoy!

family fun

We went camping a weekend or so ago, and did a little fishing, My pole hasn't had bait in awhile, Jeremy likes to reel it in so I'm just casting weights most the time, but we knocked em dead that day. Here's me and turtle just getting settled in, we had little chipmunk buddies too

Tigers

His card he made with Stampin UP!

Jeremy and I tagged along with Auntie Jamie, to the Hogle Zoo. Jamie got to meet her bf's daughter, she is a cutie btw. We had so much fun! It was completely stress free and just fun. Our feet started to throb at the end, and it actually got a little cold (So unexpected!) but worth it.
It was Teddy Bear day, so Jeremy grabbed a Care Bear and he took him along. Stampin Up! and Roberts Crafts were there and gave Jeremy some supplies to make crafts, that was so fun. And we got to see a lot of active animals so it was so fun, I'm glad we went!

Steel Days

We had such a busy weekend! It's American Fork Steel Days, so we decided to enjoy the festivities. We had friends over and went camping, then hit the carnival and car show. Then we met back at my house for a family BBQ. It was amazing everyone was able to come and the fireworks were in view. It was an awesome night, it went really well, with tons of food, fun, and fireworks. I have way more pics if you want some send me an email!

4th of July

I know it's way after the 4th but better late than never. We had a good time, spent some time at my Mothers house with the family. Then we went home and had Beth and her family and Mom and Larry come and enjoy fireworks. It was fun. I wish they would bring back our fireworks to the high school. I think we'll go to the Owlz game on the 24th to make up for it. They do an amazing job on fireworks, and we love the games!

Happy Mothers Day!

I Wanted to send out some love to all the mothers out there, even a little late. I hope Mothers day was a wonderful day, and you all felt loved. It amazes me that the love I feel for Jeremy is how my mother loves me. That makes me feel very special :D My Mother is the #1 MOM for sure. She is always there to give advice without being rude or pushy. She is always willing to spot me that 10 for gas until Thursday, and doesn't hound me for it (although I do pay it back :)) I love you mom, thanks for being there!

Date with Dad

Jason and I went and did a session with my Dad and Veronica last night. We went to the Timpanogas temple, and it was great. while we were walking up the stairs to the chapel my Dad said, "I haven't done this since you were", he put his hand way down by his knee to show how little I was. Now I stand a couple centimeters taller than my Dad. It was nice to finally have someone in my family to go with. We had a great time and ate dinner at my house after. Now if I could recruit a few others...... ;)

Doin' Good

Jeremy is doing very well. The difference in his hearing is great now! He picked up things like crazy, I'd been trying to teach him his letters with no luck and he learned 5 less than a week after the surgery. It's amazing, and we are very Happy! He got a bloody nose earlier and has the stinkiest breath ever but both are pretty normal. So all is well for now!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Happy 30th Birthday Honey! Jason was born March 16th 1979 and still acts like a 20 year old. He is the funnest part of our family and we wouldn't trade him for the world. However if you'd like to make an offer send me a message. We love you tons, happy birthday!!!

Postop

Jeremy went in and got his surgery all done. He was very upset to wake up and find an IV in his hand. He cheered up the closer we got to home. Soon he was his normal self, and he is doing great! I haven't noticed a dramatic change in his hearing but his ears are still draining so i think it just needs a little time. He had quite a few visitors and was mildly spoiled, I think that made up for the crumby part of the day. Thank you for vitsits!

More Blessings

Jason had yet another near death last night. While at work the wind caused some power lines to fall. Jason commented to his boss that they should go check it out and hopped in the truck, then another line fell right where they were standing and they were unable to move and in a a lot of danger. The proper authorities came and rescued them and under all the circumstances they were very lucky!
Jason picked up a piece of sand that turned to glass due to the electricity. It's pretty cool! One picture is a little blurry but shows the pretty blue, it's amazing that we are able to harness something so powerful
I'm going to display it where I can always see it and remember how much Jason means to us and always appreciate him.

Blessings

I picked a day to go to the Temple with Jason, and he refused to go unless it was early morning. Okay as long as we go I can live with that. We woke up about 5:15am and made the 6:30 session.
After that I had preschool to teach, so Jason went to Heber to hang out with a friend as to get out of my hair.
On the way back down the canyon he saw some small rocks falling onto the road and had the impression to slow down and had just enough time to look up and see a massive mud slide and hit the breaks. No one was hurt, he stopped about 5 feet away and there were boulder about 1/2 the size of our car.
Good thing we went to the Temple, at least that's what he heard and I agree!

Happy Birthday to Jeremy

Jeremy had his 3rd birthday on February 8th. We threw a big baseball party for him on the 7th. A lot of his buddies and girlfriends came, along with loads of family. Thank you to everyone that came and thanks for all the gifts, Jeremy isn't favoring the Wall-E as much, he took his baseball gear for a spin and drives the trucks through lego walls. Basically he loves all the gifts-thanks!
If you didn't make it that's a bummer we had a lot of fun, although next year I think I'll go little simpler!

That's Life

I'll just start with today! I went down to Helper with Jason's family to see Earl, it was one of his dieing wishes to see us. We arrived probably about 11am, and his son answered and told us he passed at 6am this morning. You could see the heartbreak on everyone's faces. We talked with his wife Yvonne, and she seemed to cheer up a lot talking with us.
Earl is the one responsible for getting Jason's family back to church and through the Temple, so in a way he helped me get through the Temple too. Jason calls him his Grandpa, and we miss him, even though I only got to meet him once.
The Funeral is Saturday at 11am so Jason will miss Jeremy's birthday, and I will miss the funeral, but that's life.
